| | Apeks XTX50 The XTX50 regulator can be converted, as can all of the XTX range, from a
right handed hose configuration (as supplied from the APEKS factory in the
standard) to a left handed one. This feature is known as the Reversible Venturi
System (RVS). Changing the regulator to a left handed configuration is both
quick and simple and can be performed by any APEKS Authorised Service
Technician.

| | Apeks XTX40 The XTX40 regulator incorporates, as do the rest of the XTX range, the new
feature of Diver Changeable Exhausts system (DCE). This system gives the diver
the ability to change from a small exhaust tee to a large exhaust tee. This
gives the user a choice of the wider exhaust tee for minimal bubble
interference (essential for underwater photography) and the narrow exhaust tee
for a smaller compact comfortable regulator (ideal for use as an octopus
regulator).

 | Apeks DS4 First Stage Only The DS4 first stage had become a favourite with technical divers. For twinset
or stage use the lack of a turret and the placing of the ports makes for
simplified hose routing. Four medium pressure and one high pressure port are
all that is required for stage or twinset use. In this dry sealed system
hydrostatic pressure, acting on the outer sealing diaphragm, is transmitted to
the primary diaphragm via the load transmitter. This first stage utilizes a
unique over-tracking (over-balanced) diaphragm design, where the intermediate
pressure supplied to the second stage increases more than traditional balanced
models, as the diver descends to greater depths. The result is superior
breathing performance regardless of depth.
